Sitges Wine Harvest Festival

From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 September, Sitges celebrates the 50th edition of the "Fiesta de la Vendimia" (harvest festival). During the weekend, numerous activities are organised in relation to grape harvesting and pressing.

Sitges devotes three days to celebrate the wine harvest, which has been of great importance in the economy of the area throughout its history. On Friday the official proclamation is read announcing the "pubilla" (festival queen) of Sitges. The wine tasting begins on Saturday, and on Sunday morning is the first pressing done in the traditional way, while in the evening the most colourful event takes place: the grape treaders contest.

Sitges Wine Show. There are numerous stalls where producers and merchants of wines of the region exhibit their products are arranged along the Paseo de la Ribera. The gastronomic sector of Garraf is also represented.
