The La Molina Ski Resort, with 71 kilometres of slopes is Catalonia's oldest ski resort and combines options for families with the higher level competition.
Inaugurated in 1943, La Molina ski resort is the oldest in Catalonia. It was the first Spanish ski resort to have a ski lift, a chair lift, a cable car, a four-seat chair lift as well as the first to have a ski school. La Molina is situated in the Cerdanyaregion, at a minimum altitude of 5,469 feet and a maximum of 8,022 feet.
La Molina boasts 69 ski slopes, 44 miles of skiing area, 12 ski schools and 400 instructors. The family-oriented setting is supplemented by a determined commitment to competition: three permanent competition stadiums host the training sessions of numerous clubs as well as snow-related competitions and events.
During summer, La Molina has a renovated Bikepark
for cycling activities.
