The location of the cross-country Guils Fontanera Ski Resort, in the Pyrenean region of La Cerdanya, provides cross-country skiing for all levels and circuits with snow-shoes.
The Guils Fontanera cross-country skiing resort is located in the Pyrenean region of La Cerdanya, very close to the capital, Puigcerdà. It is a privileged location for cross-country skiing, both for those who want to learn this sport as well as for expert skiers.
The trails at Guils Fontanera cover a total of 45 kilometres of runs and 25 possible circuits that are independent and interconnecting. Many of the runs are for beginners, although even the most demanding will find challenges to test their skill level. The resort also has three snowshoeing circuits, which are between two and five kilometres in distance.
All the runs and routes are located in a spectacular natural setting on an Atlantic-influenced slope that ensures the best snow conditions. The trails at Guils Fontanera are of special note thanks to the combination of landscapes and scenery with forests, meadows and clearings.
Opened in 1993, this resort is owned by the municipality. It has a children’s snowpark, cross-country ski school, cafeteria, medical service and a sledging area for kids that is 500 metres long.
