This museum in the border town of La Jonquera recreates the experience of exile in a very didactical way, covering from the Spanish Civil War to democratic transition.

Wars always have dramatic consequences, yet the effects of civil wars are especially terrible. A modern buildingin the heart of La Jonquera hosts this museum that pays tribute to the memory of the Republican refugees who had to cross the border after the end of the Spanish Civil War. Pictures, documents and names of those who sought a home away from home are shown in a modern, interactive way. The museum is also devoted to exile in general, which affects people all over the world wherever there is conflict. All of this is to raise the awareness about some historical facts that should occur never again.

The proposal includes: Ticket to the museum. Proposal valid all year-round except Monday, when the museum closes.
