When you visit, the royal pages will show you how they prepare the toys for the most magical night of the year, and children can give the pages their letters for the kings. Activities such as balloon modelling workshops are organised, and you can enjoy some hot chocolate and melindros cakes while taking selfies with the pages!Did you know that at Christmas time, in Valls d’Àneu, the tradition of the “Tió” (a log drawn with a masculine appearance that “poos” out presents) is known as the “Tronca” (also a log, but with feminine features)? What’s more, with MónNatura Pirineus you can head into the forest in search of her! You will walk alongside a guide who will show you the trees and unique flora of the area. The guide will also tell you that no tree was cut down to make the Tronca, she was made instead with the wood of a fallen tree. The activity takes place every Saturday at 10 am and lasts two hours.Walking routes, sledging and snow shoesPut on your walking boots and head up to the Cuirilles path to enjoy the landscape of Vall de Boí. This 2 km walk can be completed in around 30 minutes. You will leave from the village of Taüll, towards the church of Sant Climent, and you will then reach a viewpoint where the panoramic views will be your reward for this family hike! And what will you do when you get to the viewpoint? That’s easy! Everybody say, “Cheeeeese”!Do you fancy some snow? At the Vallter 2000 ski resort, located in Vall de Camprodon, a day of sledging awaits you at its Leisure Park, where you will have an amazing time sliding down on the snow. And there’s no need to worry about getting tired as there is a conveyor belt to go up to the top of the slope. If you don’t have either a sledge or a helmet, they are both available to rent at the ski station. The Leisure Park is only open at weekends and holidays. On weekdays, it is open to groups who have made a reservation at least 10 days in advance.At the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, in the Pirineus-Noguera Pallaresa, you will be able to walk through the snow with an outing organised by Outdoor Adventour. Lace up your snowshoes and head out into the park’s vast black pine forests. During this circular route of 1.5 km, you will find informative panels about the flora and fauna of the area. You will enjoy the beauty of the Orri massif from the viewpoint of La Coma del Forn, and if you’re lucky you might even see some roe deer. The meeting point is the Leisure Park in Port-Ainé. The 2-hour excursion takes place on weekends and holidays.Riddles and a moon rescue?Reus Tourism organises a game of riddles to solve with your family! You have to use the clues to uncover the treasure that Takeshi Nazo has hidden somewhere in the Gaudí Centre. If you manage to find it and open the box, the treasure will be yours. So far no one has succeeded. Will you be the lucky ones?Ready to fly to the moon? The Muntanyes de Prades Astronomical Park offers the family show Selene, un trepidant viatge a la Lluna (Selene, an exciting trip to the moon). You will experience something very unique: a moon rescue, where you will see and experience spectacular light and sound effects, as if you were right there! Afterwards, you will go to the Astronomical Observatory, and they will tell you all about the constellations, in a way which children will easily understand. You will also get to enjoy the night sky and the stars in Prades through the park’s powerful telescopes.Witches tales and chocolate factoriesOnce a year the medieval town of Mallol, in Vall d’en Bas-Les Preses, turns into a winter wonderland! The Estruga Witch lived here many years ago, a popular character in the town who has her own legend and parade with a special dance. This is celebrated during the Fira de Sant Nicolau. Come and visit Mallol to enjoy group walks, concerts and shows. There are also 0 Km product stands and demonstrations of old crafts such as blacksmithing and jewellery making. Visiting a chocolate factory is surely the dream of many children, and Els Ports you can visit one as a family. In the Tortosa Factory-Museum where CREO chocolate is made, you will discover its production process, with the original recipe from 1941 and still using the same machinery! You will learn its history from a master chocolatier who will guide you through the factory and give you 4 types of chocolate to try. The visit lasts 2 hours.
