This is a 3-day route to enjoy the landscapes of the Natural Park of Cadí Moixeró, an hour and a half from Barcelona, an enclave where the Cadí and Moixeró ranges meet, forming a 30 km long mountain barrier.This park has more of 400 km of signposted trails, among which the GR-107 stands out, the Camí dels Bons Homes or The Path of the Good Men. This route recalls the exile of the Cathars in the 13th and 14th centuries when they were fleeing the persecution of the Crusades and the Inquisition.Walking through this park of the Cavalls del Vent, organised by Pedra Tour. It is a circular route of 84.2 km through 8 refuges of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. The entire crossing lasts 6 days, but in this case you will complete two stages over two days with one night of accommodation.An expert mountain guide accompanies you during the route of this stage, which has as its starting point the refuge of the Serrat de les Esposes, in Riu de Cerdanya, at an altitude of more than 1,500 m. The final destination: the refuge of Prat d'Aguiló.During the 6-hour route you will pass through the Prat de les Estelles, Vimboca and the Pas dels Bous, at an altitude of 2,253 m. The route includes breaks, stops to eat and enjoy the scenery. Among the black pine forests you can observe high mountain birds such as the woodpecker and the alpine sparrow. At the end of the route, dinner awaits you at the Prat d'Aguiló refuge, where you will spend the night.Day 2: Second day of the Cavalls del Vent route: Gresolet RefugeThe second stage of the Cavalls del Vent crossing has as its destination the Gresolet refuge. This refuge, located in the valley of the same name, offers a good panoramic view of the north face of the Pedraforca mountain.After breakfast, you will leave in the direction of Pas de Gosolans, following the Route of the Reapers. This historic pass between Gósol and Bellver de Cerdanya is what the reapers and bandits of the area used. Even Picasso frequented it during his stay in Gósol in the summer of 1906.The walk takes 5 and a half hours. At the end of the route, you will be picked up at the Gresolet refuge and taken to Prullans, where you will spend the night. At the Cerdanya Ecoresort you can choose to sleep in a conventional room, an apartment or a bungalow. This accommodation also offers the possibility of glamping, a type of camping that combines luxury, tourism and adventure. You can spend the night under the stars in an Indian-style tent, in contact with nature. The resort has a spa and a terrace with views of the Pyrenees of Catalonia.Day 3: Ascent in the panoramic cable car to La MolinaThe last day of the route you will go up to the Cadi-Moixeró cable car at the ski resort of la Molina to enjoy a panoramic walk. This reaches the highest point of the resort: the Niu de l'Àliga refuge and the Tosa peak, at 2,537 m altitude.It's a 20-minute journey with a great reward, the 360º views of the Pyrenees of Catalonia and the eastern part of the French Pyrenees. On clear days you can also see the Montserrat mountain and the Massís del Montseny.At the refuge's restaurant you will enjoy a lunch in the mountains. Take the opportunity to try dishes such as trinxat from La Cerdanya, a dish made with cabbage, potato and cured bacon, or fricandó with mushrooms, a typical stew from the area.Back at the hotel, you can enjoy a circuit of thermal waters to regain strength and finish this high-altitude route through the Pyrenees of Catalonia.
