Els Cups was a farmhouse where vines were cultivated and in honour of its manorial past, the owners have preserved tools such as a press to extract the juice from the grapes, and two cups, which are the containers where the grapes were crushed and which give the name in the house and what you will find inside.Around Els Cups you can do many activities related to wine tourism and the musician Pau Casals. Just arriving at the house, Helena and Salvador will give you all the information about tourist spots and places to visit near the manor house. You can immerse yourself in the world of wine by visiting the Avgvstvs Fòrvm wineries in Vendrell and enjoy a wine tasting. Also visit the Plaça Mayor de Sant Vicenç de Calders to discover a relic: the Liura de Mas Borràs press. This tool was used in the 19th century to press grapes and it still works. If you feel more like enjoying the beach, 2 km away are the beaches of Francàs, Sant Salvador and Coma-ruga. In good weather, another highly recommended activity is to visit the Masia Blanca del Vendrell marine reserve. In this space you can see an informative exhibition that raises awareness of the importance of taking care of the sea and preserving marine biodiversity. After the visit you can bathe and do some snorkelling to look at the seabed. For music lovers, on Sant Salvador beach is the Pau Casals house museum. In this space you will learn about the life and work of this musician, considered one of the best cellists of the 20th century.
