We recommend a great 4-day route through the Puigventós, in Castellar del Riu. A 17th century farmhouse located next to the Cercs Mines Museum is the first activity of the day. On the edge of the reservoir of la Baells is Sant Corneli, a village built to house the miners who worked in the town's coal mines from 1911. Here you will find the museum, a space dedicated to the world of coal and the area's mining activity.During the visit you will get to know the day-to-day work of a miner and see how they lived. You will also put on your helmet to board the railway and go inside the Sant Romà mine.In the afternoon, very close by, in Fumanya, you can visit the Interpretation Center of the Dinosaurs. Here in 1985 a paleontological group was discovered with more than 3,500 dinosaur footprints from 65 million years ago. While touring the facilities you will also discover the relationship between coal and dinosaurs, which appeared during the Cretaceous period that began after the Jurassic.Day 2: Hiking among natural springsDay 2: Hiking among natural springs b>On the second day you move to Setcases, a town located far near the source of the Ter river and also the ski resort Vallter2000. It was built in the 11th century and has a Latin cross plan. It retains some capitals and decorative elements such as the Lombard bands on its exterior. At the end of the route you will taste local products from the area.Day 4: An excursion at an altitude of 1,995 metresThe last day of the route, the Pas d'Isard mountain guides suggest a special excursion.
