We propose a two-day route of immersion in the landscape of the Delta de l’Ebre, two hours from Barcelona. This area can be visited at any time of the year. The landscape is at its best in the spring, but summer is also a good time to enjoy it, as you can take the opportunity to swim and enjoy its virgin beaches. You will spend the night at Camping Eucaliptus of Amposta, in a bungalow with porch-terrace and views of Eucalyptus beach. An unspoiled and quiet environment of 6 km in length full of dunes and surrounded by rice fields and eucalyptus forests.This accommodation is located in the heart of Parc Natural del Delta de l'Ebre, the largest wetland in Catalonia and one of the best places in Europe to watch birds. It is also very close to the Tancada lagoon, a refuge for many sea birds such as flamingos, and the Trabucador beach. This beach is length of sand 6.5 kilometers long that goes into the sea as far as Punta de la Banya.Day 1: Route with mussel tasting and lunch in La RàpitaIn the morning, you move to Ràpita Nautical Station .On board a golondrina you leave the port of Ràpita and set course for Alfacs Bay. While sailing in the direction of the Musclarium, where the mussel ropes are located, you pass the Trinitat salt pans and see from afar the silhouette of the Serra del Montsià. This mountainous massif, parallel to the Mediterranean coast, has peaks such as La Foradada, at 700 m, which become magnificent natural viewpoints over the Delta de l'Ebre.Once you arrive at the Musclarium, you will discover how the mussels and oysters of the Delta de l'Ebre are cultivated by the hand of an aquaculturist. This center is an initiative of the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation, which promotes the natural and traditional values of the area. Salt, fishing and bird watching are the most popular activities, always respectful of the environment.A guide will accompany you during the tour through the various areas of MónNatura Delta, between which are the Tancada lagoon and the typical salt flats of the area. You will discover the unique biodiversity of this aquatic habitat and typical fishing activities of the Delta such as sailing on a pontoon, a typical flat-bottomed boat used as a ferry on the Ebre. A fisherman will demonstrate how to use a 3 metre long pole to steer the boat through the waters of the canals and lagoons.Before leaving take the opportunity to take a walk along the beach of l'Eucaliptus, next to the campsite.
