We propose a 4-day route to enjoy the landscapes and gastronomy of the Delta de l'Ebre, just two hours by car from Barcelona. The three-night stay is at Delta Hotel Naturalment by Deltebre. This sustainable tourism establishment is completely integrated with the landscape: it has a single ground floor and rooms with views of the rice fields.Day 1: Route with tasting and rice cultivation workshopThe first day begins in Deltebre with a gastronomic route of tapas, by electric bike. Deltacleta offers you a 4-hour tour through various ecosystems of the Ebro Delta. You will pedal between marshes and beaches in this area declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO for its biodiversity.In the 30 km route there are three stops to taste products from Km 0. Smoked eel and Delta mussels are two of the gastronomic delights you will taste. The route ends with a tasting of rice liquor, typical of the area.Then, also in Deltebre, you will participate in a traditional rice cultivation workshop, organised by Deltapolet Natura i Sabers. Discover how the ancient inhabitants of the Delta de l'Ebre obtained the agricultural resources of the area without the help of machines or chemicals. The workshop lasts 2 hours.Day 2: Photo tour and tasting of virgin olive oilsThe day starts at the Perelló with a photo tour organised by Brogit. Get your mobile ready to capture the most beautiful corners of the coastal path that linked Ametlla de Mar with L'Ampolla, the Mediterranean Trail GR-92. As you travel along this ancient road you will pass through isolated places by the sea. The 2-hour excursion ends at a beach where you can go diving.In the afternoon, an oil tasting awaits you in a 13th-century mill in Horta de Sant Joan, near the Els Ports Natural Park. Through Identitat Olive Oil, you will taste the oils of extra virgin olive that they make. They will teach you how to identify the quality of the oil and discover its benefits. The activity ends with the preparation of the cloxa, a typical farmer's sandwich from the area consisting of a bread emptied of crumbs and filled with herring, tomato and oil. Day 3: DO Terra Alta wine tasting, visit to MónNatura and zip linesA wine tourism experience will be the first activity of the day. In Bot, near the Massís dels Ports, is the cellar de Sant Josep Vins. In this area with a less dry climate, the Grenache grape variety stands out, both white and red, with which the wines of the MónNatura Delta, located near Jumpland Ecological Adventure at Cambrils. With the midday ticket you will enjoy the outdoor activity in an environment surrounded by olive trees and close to the beach. This park has three adventure circuits with ziplines, bridges, climbing walls... Also a football-golf field, in case you like to combine sports.Day 4: Bird watching and forest bathsThe bird watching is one of the star activities of the Delta de l'Ebre. The best time of year to see them is in spring and autumn. During these months the weather is pleasant and the rice fields where the birds feed are filled with water. Rutes de Muntanya offers you this 4-hour experience in the Ullals de Baltasar, an area of natural freshwater channels in Amposta. Here you will observe some of the more than 300 species of birds that live or visit the Delta de l'Ebre throughout the year, such as herons or flamingos.To end the day, we suggest a forest bath with Ports Experience you will enter the Ports Natural Park, near Tortosa, to experience a deep and renewing connection.
