Day 2: En route along the path of the first Christians of TarracoOn the second day of the route you move to Tarragona to discover its early Christian artistic and archaeological heritage. The city houses a large set of Roman monuments declared World Heritage Sites by Unesco. Some of them are part of the Tarraco First Christians Route. This excursion, promoted by the Tarragona Tourist Board, guides you through history, archeology and art so you can discover the birth and development of Christianity in the city.The route covers 8 spaces from the Paleo-Christian legacy, considered the most remarkable of the entire Peninsula. Among them, the cathedral and the Diocesan Museum of Tarragona, the necropolis paleocristiana, the Centcelles Archaeological Complex and the Amphitheater of Tarragona. In this place, in the year 259, Bishop Fructuós of Tarragona and his deacons, Auguri and Eulogius, were martyred by order of the Roman emperor Valerià I.
