We recommend a two-day route to enjoy two golf courses on the Costa Brava, one hour and ten minutes by car from Barcelona. Take advantage of the mild temperatures of spring and autumn to practise some swings and enjoy the open spaces and nature. You will stay for one night at the Silken Park Hotel Sant Jordi from Calonge. This establishment is located on the seafront and has direct access to the coves of Cap Roig and Belladona. The latter is very quiet and can only be accessed by boat or on foot, along the path that connects Sant Antoni de Calonge with Platja d'Aro. You can do a section of this 8 km route where you will discover little treasures such as the Valentina Tower, a watchtower from the 16th century.Day 1: 'Drives' in Caldes de Malavella and a 'medicinal' excursion in BlanesOn the first day of the route you get up early and head to Caldes de Malavella to play golf during the 'early bird' times, from 8 am. The Camiral Golf&Wellness. This complex has two golf courses. The Stadium Course is considered the no. 1 in Spain and is ranked among the top 100 in the world. It is a course with undulating scenery that poses many challenges, due to its tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers and seven lakes of the most complicated holes. In addition, the dogleg on hole 6 demands great concentration and good handling of the driver from the players. For less demanding golfers, the resort has another course, the Tour Course, with abundant lakes and which is a little shorter than the Stadium. After playing golf, go to the medieval town of Caldes de Malavella, with a great spa tradition. Here you have the well-known spa Vichy Català and the Roman baths of Sant Grau, built in the 1st century BC.After practising sport, the second proposal of the day is an excursion with Natural Walks through the natural environment of Blanes. It is a walking tour to discover the medicinal and edible plants of this area of the Costa Brava.During the walk near the beaches, the cliffs and the riverside landscape of the Tordera river, you will be accompanied by a guide who will help you correctly identify this type of plant. It will also teach you how to use and store them so that they are part of your pantry and your home medicine cabinet. A very refreshing and didactic activity to end the day.Day 2: Golf with a view of Castell-Platja d'AroOn the second day, golf will take you to Castell-Platja d'Aro. Here you will enjoy your favourite sport on the 18-hole course (par 72) of the Club Golf D'Aro Mas Nou. This course stands out for its impressive views. Located more than 300 metres above sea level, it is delimited by the coastal cliffs and the Espai Protegit de les Gavarres, so the player can enjoy a wonderful panoramic vista while practising his or her drive. The club also has a golf school. If you have time, before returning home, go to the Gavarres Natural Park for a walk. Along the way you can admire the important megalithic legacy of this area, in which the dolmen of the Daina cave, from the years 2700-2000 BC, and the Murtra menhir stand out.
