We suggest a one-day route through the Terres de Lleida to enjoy wine tourism and oil tourism without haste, combining it with an educational visit which is very animal centred, and ideal for families.< p>The experience begins in Juneda, an hour and forty minutes by car from Barcelona. Very close to this medieval town surrounded by walls is the La Manreana park. It is the first visit of the route. This site is special because it houses a school farm and a wildlife centre: the Vimferri. In this centre there are all kinds of mammals: deer, foxes, wild boars… and also birds of prey such as eagles and falcons.During the visit you will tour the wildlife enclosure in the company of the keeper. He will tell you all he knows about the animals and then you will visit the farm where children can pet and feed the cows and rabbits and also ride a pony. The park also has a wooden labyrinth, one of the largest in Catalonia. At the weekends, theatrical visits and family shows are organised which are included in the entrance fee.Afterwards, you go to the Pobla de Cérvoles, at the foot of the Llena mountain range. In this natural environment surrounded by fields of olive trees and vineyards, those responsible for les Garrigues. Through a guided tour you will walk among millenary and centennial olive trees and learn about the particularities of the Arbequina olive, which produces a fruity, dense and full-bodied oil.Olea Soul wants to convey its passion for the oil, working side by side with the producers. The aim is for the visitor to capture the beauty of the territory, the way of cultivation and the effort and care with which they carry out the production. During the walk they will show you how the olive trees are 'combed' to collect the olives. Why not try the Ruta de l'Oli?. This route connects 30 oil-producing towns in Les Garrigues.Without leaving La Pobla de Cérvoles, visit the winery Mas Blanch i Jové. Here you will make a very special pairing of wine and art. It is a tour of the Artists' Vineyard, a space where sculptures coexist with vines and olive trees. The works exhibited in this natural outdoor setting are by artists such as Josep Guinovart, Joan and Carles Santos Evru and Frederic Amat, among others. The winery, in addition to producing organic wines of the DO Costers del Segre, also produces extra virgin olive oil with 100% Arbequina olives. At the end of the guided tour, you will taste them among works of art.Have you set aside a day for it yet?
