Oriol Vila, a respected film, television and theatre actor, has a very special relationship with the landscape of Priorat. An area famous for its wines. The actor, born in Barcelona, began performing in the theatre in the United States at the age of 15 in the musical Big River at the Hampton Playhouse in New Hampshire. He has undergone training in Spain and the United States and studied to be a director and screenwriter at Escac college in Barcelona.He has been in many television series and films such as The Pelayos, Lasa i Zabala and Totes les cançons parlen de mi for which he received a Goya nomination for best new actor in 2010. As a director and playwright, he created and directed the show Big Berberecho together with Jordi Oriol. It premiered at the 2012 Temporada Alta Theatre Festival. His later productions include the musical theatre project Nico & Sunset with Raquel Salvador, and he was the director and co-producer of the play Paradise.Oriol has been immersed in the performing arts from a young age, but what he is really passionate about is taking long walks in the countryside.
