Here are some ideas to enjoy nature as a family.The laughter of ottersFirst stop, the the Cadí-Moixerò Natural Park, where specimens of otters can still be seen. This mammal is popularly known as a water dog. It has amphibious habits and lives in burrows between rocks and on the banks of rivers. They like the water to be very clean. So don't forget to be respectful of the environment during your visit.The route starts in Martinet de Cerdanya, at Casa del Riu. It is an interpretation centre for fluvial ecosystems that will help you better understand the life of the otter. You can get there by car and parking is easy. It is the starting point of the route that will take you through Martinet, Bellver de Cerdanya and Prullans.The riparian forests are the habitat of these very territorial and solitary mammals. Along the route you will find indications about specific aspects of their life. Your children, if they pay attention, will find otter tracks on the banks of the river. If you go at dusk or in the morning, you will hear them laughing.The bottom of the MedesWe continue in the water, but we change the fresh water of the river to the saltiness of the sea. We are in the Montgrí, Illes Medes i el Baix Ter Natural Park, one of the most important marine reserves in the Mediterranean. You can do a walking route that starts from L'Estartit and reaches the viewpoint of Cap de la Barra. There is parking, a picnic area if you want to have a bite before or after the tour and a children's play area.
