The great circuit of the Pyrenees of Catalonia Get motivated to do an orienteering circuit! It’s the perfect activity to have fun while you learn, enjoy nature and get to know the heritage of the valleys of the Pyrenees of Catalonia. In Vall de Boí you will get to be an explorer for the day, and discover the natural environment with only a map and your orienteering skills! You can choose between the 3 maps which correspond to each orienteering route: Barruera, Durro and Taüll. You can download them from the Vall d’en Bas - Les Preses, the Mountain and Canyon Guides organise an orienteering circuit, where children will learn orienteering and enjoy looking for the hidden beacons. They will be asked to find these perfectly camouflaged signs in the forest with the help of a compass and a map. The activity lasts three hours and children must be at least 6 years old to participate. In Pirineus-Noguera Pallaresa, throughout the year you can test your sense of direction at Sort’s fixed circuit. This space is approved by the Federació de Curses d’Orientació de Catalunya. The circuit has three routes of low, medium and high difficulty and a total of 15 control points that can be done in whichever order you like. You can pick up your map at the Sort Tourist Office and Els Til·lers Sports Centre or download it from the internet. This natural recreation area is close to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park and the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, so spectacular scenery is guaranteed! Orienteering, beacons and an escape room in Costa Barcelona Calella also has a permanent orienteering circuit which is open all year. The circuit has two different routes: the blue one, which is longer, and the green one, which is easier. Along the route you will have to keep a look out for the numbered beacons or landmarks with letter codes which are hidden throughout the circuit.
