Ecomuseu dels Pastors de la Vall d'Àssua

Museum dedicated to shepherds, one of the traditional, most deep-rooted jobs in the valley of Àssua. Throughout the visit there is an in-depth examination of the history of shepherding and of how new technologies have transformed it.

Located in the village of Llesui, this museum pays homage to the occupation of shepherds and explains how it has evolved over the years. It provides information on the features of the Àsua valley, what a shepherd’s life is and was like, the tasks carried out and the tools of yesteryear, and how technology has made this work easier with satellite-tracking devices, mechanical threshing and mobile telephones.
