The Aransa cross-country skiing resort is located in the Pyrenean region of La Cerdanya, in the municipal district of Lles de Cerdanya. Its geographic location makes it a stunning vantage point, with views of the secondary chain of the Sierra del Cadí mountain range. Many of the marked trails travel through black pine forests and places of high scenic value.
The resort’s base is located in Pla del Fornell, a few kilometres north of the small town of Arànser. Aransa’s lowest point sits at 1,850 metres, while the highest point reaches 2,150 metres.
The runs are designed for skiers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts, and cover an area of 32 kilometres. This space can be extended with the connecting trail that joins Aransa with the Lles resort through Les Pollineres.
The joining of the two resorts makes this the Pyrenees’ largest cross-country skiing area. There is also a road transport service which takes skiers back to the resort in the event that they can’t make it back on their skis.
The resort offers other services such as a children’s snowpark, ski school, café, restaurant and sledging area for kids. Other activities can also be enjoyed, such as mountain skiing, snowshoeing and walking. There is also a very interesting mountain circuit that extends to Estanys de la Pera.
