There are 11 wine Designations of Origin and one cava Designation of Origin, which means there are twelve ways of understanding life in the region, separated by landscape.

Mas Blanch i Jove
Mas Blanch i Jove is a very peculiar winery created in 2006 in La Pobla de Cervoles. Two main elements converge in this project: the owners' passion for wine and the area of Les Garrigues, passed down from their grandparents, and a great admiration for art.
Eudald Massana Noya
The Massana family settled on the El Maset Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs. The family has always been devoted growing grapes and winemaking.
Gramona
Gramona, one of the great names in the world of cava in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, is associated with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Its history dates back to the 19th century when, in 1881, the Celler Batlle cellar was built in the centre of town. Its walls housed the company's facilities until the harvest of 2001.
Avgvstvs Forvm
The Roman tradition of winemaking is evident on Les Deveses Estate, located at the foot of the Via Augusta on its way through El Vendrell. Here is where Joan Roca and Agustí Puig, a farmer and an oenologist, respectively, decided to plant ten hectares of vineyards (Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot) in 1982.
Mont-Rubí
Mont-Rubí is a family owned winery that produces high altitude organic wines, located in an idyllic setting: a valley in the Alt Penedès, 60 km away from Barcelona, where vineyards coexist with pine and olive trees on its 100 hectares estate.

DO Alella
The wines in this area were already praised by the Roman writers Plinio el Viejo and Marcial in their epigrams.
DO Catalunya
The Catalonia Designation of Origin, approved in 1999, was created to safeguard the tradition of wine production in Catalonia which has been so important for more than 2,000 years.
DO Conca de Barberà
Enjoying the wines which form part of the Conca de Barberà Designation of Origin there where they are produced is tied to discovering the so-called "wine cathedrals".
DO Costers del Segre
This young Designation of Origin from the province of Lleida, created in 1983, quickly gained prestige thanks to experimenting with unusual wines.
DO Empordà
In El Empordà the vines are barely a few centimetres from the ground to prevent the Tramontana from spoiling them. This has been the case for more than 2,000 years, when the Greeks established the vineyards in these locations.
DO Montsant
This Designation of Origin includes various municipalities from the districts of El Priorat and La Ribera d’Ebre, in the south-east of Catalonia.
DO Penedès
As far back as Roman times, the wines of El Penedès were appreciated throughout the empire and exported to Gaul, Britannia and even to Mauritania, making use of the Via Augusta. Such international recognition has stood the test of time until now: a third of the production is consumed abroad.
DO Pla del Bages
The district of El Bages, in the heart of Catalonia, close to the Montserrat mountains, is an area with a long-standing tradition in wine-making.
DO Priorat
The Carthusian monks started to grow vines in this inland part of the province of Tarragona way back in 1262.
DO Tarragona
Even during Roman times wine was produced in the central part of the province of Tarragona, taking advantage of the mild Mediterranean climate in the area and its chalky and light soil.
DO Terra Alta
The Terra Alta Designation of Origin is the most southern in Catalonia. It is comprised of twelve towns from the Terra Alta district, an inland area in the province of Tarragona which borders with Aragón.
DO Cava
This sparkling wine, famous all over the world, started to become known in the area of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Alt Penedès) in 1872, when Josep Raventós produced the first 3,000 bottles in the historical Codorníu winery. Currently more than 200 million bottles are produced each year.

La Vinyeta
Josep Serra is in charge of this small vineyard and olive grove plantation in Mollet de Peralada, in the very heart of El Empordà. This is a young, family-run business located in the foothills of the Sierra de la Albera and exposed to the tramuntana winds.
Bodegas Abadal
Masies d'Avinyó Winery was created in 1983 with the aim of recovering the quality winemaking tradition in the region of Bages. Vast stretches of vineyard surrounded the farmhouse until the end of the 19th century, when the phylloxera plague transformed the landscape.

El Cigró d'Or
Since 2012, Vilafranca del Penedes has been the new home of El Cigro d'Or, the restaurant that Oriol Llavina ran for ten years in Gelida. Llavina is still in charge, and the spirit is the same; restless, very lively and intense cuisine, just like him, and he plans to continue growing and cooking the produce from the land, promoting the wine tradition from his region.
Cuina de l'Empordanet
Under the name of Cuina de l'Empordanet, in 1995 some restaurants from the districts of El Baix and El Alt Empordà got together to promote cuisine of El Empordà in Catalonia and throughout the world by organising different gastronomic events.
Mas Llagostera
17th-century country house devoted to agritourism, which is run as a model of sustainable and responsible tourism. The interior is spacious and decorated with furniture of a traditional, elegant style.
Lagravera
Lagravera was created when the Arnó family decided to do something unprecedented: restore an old gravel pit and make it into a vineyard. The building that houses the cellar, located in the municipality of Alfarràs, in the region of Segrià, is an old warehouse, also renovated and adapted to the new activity. The structure combines tradition and modernity, preserving industrial elements while adding others needed for a winery.

Heretat Oller del Mas

Can Ràfols dels Caus is a 450-hectare estate in the northern foothills of the Garraf massif. The manor house dates back to 1634. It was abandoned and had fallen into disuse when, in 1989, Carlos Esteva inherited it and installed a cellar for making wines to his taste, thereby recovering a family tradition that had brought the family prestige with the winning of various medals in 19th century expositions. The farmhouse was restored with great care. Esteva's passion for contemporary art gave it a very personal touch, contrasting the traditional architecture with modern decorative elements.
