Catalan restaurants a la carte

Book
Are you one of those people who chooses your holiday in order to try new cuisines? Pencil it in: next gastronomic getaway, Catalonia! In the Catalan cultural panorama, there are restaurants that take risks and serve creative and innovative dishes and those that preserve the traditional culinary heritage, both of which are based on the Mediterranean diet.

Michelin Star Restaurants
Having a Michelin star is the finest form of advertising, but in Catalonia, there are restaurants that accumulate two and even three stars, such as the Sant Pau, with chef Carme Ruscalleda, or the Celler de Can Roca. This is, in fact, one of the best restaurants in the world according to the Restaurant magazine.

‘Made in' Catalunya cuisine
Do you what cannellonis are? What about butifarra with beans or Cerdanya ‘trinxat’? These are some traditional Catalan dishes. The ‘Catalan Cuisine’ award recognises restaurants whose menus are 40% typical Catalan dishes. To receive this recognition, the recipes must be prepared with local and seasonal products.

Cuisine Associations
The Cuisine Associations are groups of chefs or restaurants and also farmers who base their culinary offerings on local, quality cuisine. They are a reflection of the diverse Catalan gastronomy. They base their advertising on the product, the kitchen and the territory, and they advocate for local products and traditional Catalan cuisine through their recommendations and activities. There are more than twenty in Catalonia.

Rest and fine dining in gastronomic hotels
If you want to combine accommodation and gastronomy, opt for the Catalan Gastronomic Hotels. They are establishments with up to sixty rooms, with facilities in which every detail is designed to guarantee your comfort. Aside from the food, the attentive treatment you will get is another of their secrets. During your stay in Catalonia, you will not need to look for restaurants, since you will have guaranteed feasts without even leaving the accommodation. You will be able to try the Catalan cuisine, made with local produce and ingredients which have Protected Designations of Origin or Protected Geographical Indications.

Km 0-Slow Food Restaurants
Good, healthy and fair as maxims. Catalan restaurants that follow the slow food philosophy combine the pleasure of dining with responsibility, sustainability and in harmony with one's surroundings.

Try Catalan cuisine with our chefs.

This former industrial area is the restaurant where chef Jeroni Castell creates his art. To honour the past, it was baptised as Les Moles in 1992.
