Vall Alta de Serradell-Terreta-Serra de Sant Gervàs Protected Natural Area

The crags in this natural area are an important part of this interesting landscape. One of the most popular activities is the observation of vultures, of which there are a great many in the area. The region also attracts a lot of mountain bikers, hikers and climbers. Another feature is the Romanesque hermitages that can be found here.

The high valley of Serradell-Terreta-Serra de Sant Gervàs, located in the regions of Pallars Jussà and Alta Ribagorça is a natural area of great geomorphological and scenic interest. The rugged landscapes of the area with highly prominent crags, which are visible from the busy nearby roads, make it an important landmark.

Different educational activities are organised here such as the observation of vultures. Moreover, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, wildlife watching and motor sports are becoming more and more popular in this natural environment.

Numerous shepherds’ huts and hermitages (some Romanesque) form the backbone of the historical and cultural heritage here.
