The Costa Brava International Fireworks Competition

This international competition is held over five nights on the beaches of Blanes. The best of the various performances by the pyrotechnic groups will be chosen, and they will be invited to participate in the local festivals of Girona and Santa Cristina d’Aro.

For five nights, Blanes becomes the capital of fireworks and, every night, you can see the offer of the pyrotechnic groups that come from all over the world.

As a competition, every day one of the participants competes and, at the end of all the performances, the best is chosen. The winner not only wins money, but will be invited to participate in the celebration of the Sant Narcís Fairs of Girona, to perform the pyrotechnic show of this celebration, and also the one of neighboring towns such as Santa Cristina d’Aro, for their Local Festival.

It is, therefore, a great opportunity to enjoy the ensemble of coloured lights in the privileged environment of the Costa Brava: on the beaches of S‘Abanell or Blanes, which are the closest to the rock of Sa Palomera.
