The caves of L’Espluga as a family

Come and enjoy an amazing family day inside the caves of L'Espluga, which open their doors to the prehistoric past of humankind so you can visit the different human communities that lived in this very place thousands of years ago.

You will be spectators and, at the same time, protagonists in their activities, feelings, and lives, and you'll also experience our evolution as humans from Palaeolithic times to the Iberian period.

A virtual archaeologist and a guide will accompany us during the whole journey, in which the cave will be presented in its most natural and authentic state. This is a six-hundred-metre path through the underground cavity to learn about the geological formation and human evolution.

The visits to the caves of L'Espluga are always accompanied by a guide, and visitors can choose the day and time. Free entry for children up to 8 years of age.

The meeting point is the cave reception area (Av. Catalunya, s/n), in L'Espluga de Francolí. The guided visit is carried out in Catalan, but there is a free audio guide service in Spanish, English, French and Russian.

It is accessible for people in wheelchairs and children in buggies. There is no adapted visit for people with hearing or vision difficulties. The Adventure route is not recommended for people with claustrophobia.
