Natural area in the western Pyrenean foothills located to the west of the town of Berga. This is an area which is highly appreciated by hikers and those on the lookout for mushrooms, where you can also visit the Mare de Déu de Queralt sanctuary.
The Serra de Queralt i els Tossals Natural Area is located in the western Pyrenean foothills, to the south of Rasos de Peguera and to the west of the city of Berga. It includes the mountain ranges of Queralt, Els Lladres, Els Tossals, Qüestió and the Taravil mountains.
Red and black pine forests are abundant in the area and are highly populated by fungi. The presence of the Mare de Déu de Queralt sanctuary in the area, which can be easily accessed from Berga, both by car and on foot, provides the area with a great tourist attraction from a religious point of view. Likewise, the Pi de les Tres Branques, or pine with three trunks, which symbolises the union of the Catalan Countries (Catalonia, Valencia and the Balearic Isles), is located on the edge of the park in the municipality of Castellar del Riu.
