The Parc Olímpic del Segre (Segre Olympic Park) is designed to host water sports activities such as rafting, canoeing, and hydrospeed. It also houses the Centre BTT La Seu-Alt Urgell, with more than 1,000 km of signposted mountain biking routes.
The Parc Olímpic del Segre was built in la Seu d'Urgell as an Olympic facility for the white water canoeing events during the Barcelona Olympic Games of 1992. The course features an 800 m man-made channel running alongside the River Segre, which forks into two white water channels measuring 500 m with a gradient of 6.5 m.
Apart from the slalom activities held at the centre on a regular basis, it is the perfect place to practice watersports such as rafting, hydrospeed, white water and calm water canoeing, or take rowing boat trips. The centre has the advantage of being able to offer activities year-round thanks to the mini hydroelectric dam that regulates the water flow of the channel, with a system of mechanical lifts that allow canoeists to return upstream to continue their training without getting out of their canoe.
The Parc Olímpic del Segre also takes in the Centre BTT La Seu-Alt Urgell, which organizes a variety of mountain bike routes around the local area, covering more than 1,000 signposted km of trails.
