Meliá Royal Tanau Boutique

Located at the foot of the slopes, the Melià Boutique Royal Tanau is a luxury establishment for lunch or dinner in two spaces: in the Eth Cauder restaurant with its international and Aranese cuisine, and; in the snack bar for a Royal Tanau hamburger, salads, pizzas, creams, cocktails or beverages.

The Melià Royal Tanau is the only five star hotel in Baqueira-Beret. It is also lucky enough to have a chairlift just opposite, going up to the ski slopes. It is in the Tanau residential development, at 1,700 metres.

In winter, when the countryside is covered with snow, it is a luxury to relax in the outside Jacuzzi, with fantastic views over the valley. The solarium terrace also has panoramic views.

The remaining spa facilities are indoors: there is a second Jacuzzi, a pool with water jets, two saunas, a Hammam or Turkish bath and three UVA tanning booths. The thermal water area also has a fruit juice bar.

Many of the treatments offered at Yhi Spa a brand shared with the spas in the rest of the hotels belonging to this chain is based on the traditional Indian medicine known as Ayurveda.

The Mandala Experience combines aromatherapy with stones. Viaje a la Serenidad (trip to serenity) is a more extensive programme that starts in the pools, continues with an exfoliation and ends with a massage. The Indian Scalp consists of a cranial massage that stimulates hair growth.

The treatments for skiers are another distinctive aspect of the spa: Foot & Face aids the recovery of the most hard-working and exposed parts of the body, the feet and the face. And Face Mountain Express moisturises the face to compensate for the effects of sun and wind.

The decor throughout the hotel, and especially in the bathing area, creates a warm and very cosy atmosphere. Lighting is partly provided by candles.

The spa is open to the general public, but hotel customers have discounts on all prices.
