We'll travel through one of Catalonia's richest lands: wild coast, lush hilltops, Dalí, as well as Iberian, Roman and Medieval villages... Live it all in a unique and unforgettable experience. We're starting up the car. Are you coming with us?

Day 1

Girona-Les Gavarres
First stop: Girona. We'll hop on a segway with Girona Segway and take a trip from el Call (the Jewish Quarter) to the city walls. In Púbol, we'll immerse ourselves in the delirious creativity of the Castell Gala-Dalí. And in Ullastret, we'll uncover the complexity of a city from the 6th century B.C: the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya Ullastret (MAC), an establishment with the status of Cultural Heritage of National Interest. We'll round off the day at the el Espai Astronòmic Les Gavarres observatory, in the Massís de Les Gavarres. And, on the way, you'll be able to pay a visit to the medieval villages of Monells and Madremanya. Get there before nightfall and see everything from the Pyrenees to the Guilleries Massif. Top the day off with dinner under the starry night sky in El Santuari dels Àngels.

Day 2

Tamariu-Pals
Sunrise in a cave? Not a problem. Just get down to La Cova d'en Gispert. However, only in August. In Tamariu, Kayaking Costa Brava organises excursions to go and see this incredible phenomenon. If you fancy something a bit more low key, head on towards La Bisbal d'Empordà where you'll visit pottery workshops, or even keep going on to Forallac, to learn all about olive oil production at the Can Solivera mill, between Fitor and Peratallada, trust us, it's worth the stop. Then in Pals, finish the day trailing through some of the Costa Brava's finest streets and beaches.

Day 3

L'Escala-Sant Pere Pescador
If you like a bit of swimming or snor- kelling, the L'Escala a Planasses 'sea lane' is the place to be: 1.2 kilometres of signposted water so you can safely explore the coastline. After the swim, we'll move on to Empúries, a truly incredible site with Greek and Roman ruins right by the sea. If you're with the family, the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya Empúries (MAC) dramatised tour is a fun way of discovering its history. But if it's adrenalin you're after, get down to Sant Pere Pescador where you can plough through the waves with a bit of kitesurfing from Kite Experience.

Day 4

Roses-Sant Pere de Rodes
Seeing how the fishing boats actually work is a unique experience. Live it all in Roses and get on board with the crew. If you want something a bit more chilled out, head to Cadaqués, where the Es trenet de Cadaqués tourist train will take you right through the Parc Natural del Cap de Creus up to Portlligat. You'll definitely want to enjoy the incredible panoramic view of the village, its coves and the Casa-Museu de Salvador Dalí. See it all in its fascinating, maze-like glory from places like the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes. If you're with children, get Monk Crispí to come along for the trip. Fun and learning, hand in hand.

Day 5

Garriguella-Vilabertran
For the little ones, Garriguella is a great start to the day. At the Centre de Reproducció de Tortugues de l'Albera tortoise habitat you can see the captive breeding of Mediterranean tortoises, a species in severe danger of extinction. Further north in la Jonquera, right in the heart of where most of the Spanish Civil War exiles ran away, we'll find the Museu Memorial de l'Exili. Is there no time to relax a little? Of course, in Peralada, at the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa, offering relaxing treatments given using grapes! We'll round off the day in Vilabertran, where we are awaited by the Monastery of Santa Maria de Vilabertran, another jewel in Empordà's medieval crown.

Day 6

Figueres-Banyoles
We couldn't leave without going to Figueres. There's too much to see! Visit the Teatre-Museu Dalí -partially accessible for guests of reduced mobility- or head into the trenches of Castell de Sant Ferran where the activities on offer include sailing through the cisterns in an inflatable boat. From the underground, it's on to the open air of Siurana d'Empordà, where we'll join Vins de Taller for a picnic amongst the vineyards. And afterwards we'll take advantage of the olive oil treatments at Castel Bardera in Vilademuls. We reach the end of our route in Banyoles. El Estany de Banyoles is the perfect place for a spot of kayaking or mountain biking. In the company of Caiac i Natura you'll discover the surroundings and go as far as the Parc de les Coves Prehistòriques de Serinyà, Catalonia's most notable Palaeolithic spot.
