L'Ampolla is known as the door of the Delta, because it is located at the back of the Sant Jordi gulf and at the start of the Ebro delta. In fact, the name comes from the shape the river had when is used to flow into this area.
Its coastline has always attracted tourism due to its wide-ranging tourist attractions:
Shallow beaches and
calm waters in the south and
surrounded by red cliffs and beautiful
coves to the north.
With a charming landscape of rice paddies (surrounding the lagoon of las Olles), within the
Ebro Delta Nature Park, a delicious cuisine based on fresh fish and very popular festivals, the municipality offers a totally Mediterranean atmosphere.
The essentials

beaches of the municipality, those with fine sand and the steep and almost virgin spots.

Ebro Delta Nature Park.

Fiesta del Carmen, with fireworks, the "toro embolado" (a bull with balls of fire attached to its horns) and the procession and offering to the patron saint of the fishermen.
