Josep Serra is in charge of this small vineyard and olive grove plantation in Mollet de Peralada, in the very heart of El Empordà. This is a young, family-run business located in the foothills of the Sierra de la Albera and exposed to the tramuntana winds.
While the main activity carried out at La Vinyeta is viticulture, one of the business’s star products is their Fosc olive oil. The family also dedicates itself to honey production and chicken farming, selling eggs laid by a native breed. The name of the business comes from a centuries-old olive grove recuperated for use by the estate’s owners in 2003. This is an olive grove plantation of the argudell variety which is native to El Empordà.
La Vinyeta offers the possibility of taking part in different activities such as walks through the vineyards with a guided tour of the winery and wine tasting, aperitifs on the weekend, lunches prepared by the family using local products, wine tasting, show cooking and food and wine pairing.
