BEFORE TRAVELING TO CATALONIA
International borders :
Entry to Spain is currently permitted for people traveling for leisure purposes.
Health controls have been eliminated for travelers arriving to Spain by air or sea and who are citizens of the European Union/ European Economic Area.
Travelers from outside the EU / EEA arriving from a third country by air or sea must present a certificate of vaccination, of recovery or a negative Covid test.
In case of not having the digital EU Covid Certificate or equivalent, you must complete the following control form before departing your country of origin.
Minors under 12 years old are exempt from the above restrictions.

Controls and requirements for entrance to the country
Travelers arriving to Spain from outside the EU /EEA, by air or sea, must present one of the following certificates:
- A negative Covid test (written in English, French, German or Spanish) NAAT type (PCR, LAMP, TMA or similar) taken in the 72 hours prior to trip departure or rapid antigens (RAT type) taken in the 24 hours prior to trip departure.
- A vaccination certificate. Valid certificates are those for vaccines authorized by the European Medine Agency or those that have completed the emergency use procedure by the World Health Organization. The European Union has created a Digital Covid Certificate for all its citizens.
- A recovery certificate. Travelers can enter the country if they have recovered from Covid (valid for 180 days) after confirmation of contagion with a positive NAAT test ( PCR or similar)
If a vaccination certificate is not available, people arriving by air or sea will also have to complete a public health certificate prior to the start of the trip.

STATE OF CATALONIA'S TOURIST OFFER AND MEASURES
Catalonia is currently back to normality thanks to the improvement of the indicators of the virus situation, which is continually monitored.
Tourism offer and leisure activities operate with total normality, and they are not affected by either hours of operation or capacity limitations.
HOW CAN I TRAVEL AROUND CATALONIA
Public transportation is back to normal scheduling and functioning and there are no limitations to mobility.
Health recommendations when using public transportation
-Mandatory use of masks.
-Avoid using public transport if someone is unwell.
-Wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer often.
-Keep the safety distance and avoid sitting facing other users.
MEASURES REGARDING SAFETY DISTANCES, MASKS, MEETINGS OR CAPACITY
Virus transmission is easier in crowded areas. If you have any health issued that can be worsened with Covid-19, we recommend that you use a face mask in such crowded areas (especially if they are indoors). If you are in a crowded area, wear your face mask correctly and do not remove it.
The use of face masks is mandatory for anyone over 6 years old when using public transportation and in pharmacies, health centers, health facilities and elderly people residences.
Exceptions to the above rule apply to people with respiratory illnesses or health issues that can be worsened by using a face mask or people that, due to disability or dependency, are not able to remove it themselves or that present behavior disorders that prevent their use.

Meetings and gatherings are allowed as long as they do not create crowds nor go over the maximum space capacity. Additionally, it is recommended that indoor spaces are ventilated before, during and after the gathering, as well as that outdoors gatherings be prioritized.
