Hotel Mas Passamaner

The Hotel Monumental Mas Passamaner has one special feature: all of the rooms and suites have the name of a Catalan modernist architect. These singular rooms are distributed between the spectacular main building and an ancient country house annex.

Mas Passamaner is a mansion located on the outskirts of Selva del Camp, a small Medieval town near Tarragona, Salou and other places of interest on the Costa Daurada.

The building was designed by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner at a time of transition between modernism and turn of the century "noucentisme", and both styles are reflected in the building. It is listed as a Building of Artistic Interest and in 2003 it was refitted for use as a hotel.

It has an outdoor pool with a terrace and another indoor pool, inside an extension with a glass roof. The pool has swan neck and curtain fountains as well as bubbles and water jets for hydro massage. The spa area also includes a pebble path with water jets and pediluvium, sauna, Turkish bath, hydro massage bath and UVA solarium, along with an open air Jacuzzi. At the end of the circuit there is a rest area with deckchairs and a tray of fruit and teas.

The treatments include the usual range of exfoliation, massage, facial lifting, pressotherapy, ultrasound, etc. The special treatments include a Watsu massage, which is given in a bath, and aquadynamic, a variation of Watsu. In this massage, the patient and the therapist are completely submerged in order to accelerate the circulatory and respiratory rate and free tensions.

Another highlight on the treatment menu at Mas Passamaner is the baths, which can be marine (with oligoelements that recreate the composition of seawater), aromatic and milk, wine or chocolate mousse. They also do wraps using wine and chocolate, coffee or cereals. All treatments are combined in programmes that may last from one to seven days.

The hotel also has sports facilities, such as a gym, a tennis court, a paddle tennis court, table tennis and a field for archery. You can hire mountain bikes and there is also a children´s play area.
