Hostal de la Gavina

The Hostal de la Gavina is a luxury establishment with a spa, tennis club, restaurant, pool surrounded by Mediterranean garden and rooms with magnificent views of the sea.

The Gavina hostal is one of the most exclusive hotels and with the longest history on the Costa Brava. It occupies a lovely turn of the century building painted entirely in white. It is set in elegant gardens, on top of a hill in S'Agaró from which there are views over the beach.

In the middle of the lawn, surrounded by pine, olive and palm trees, there is a 25 metre seawater pool. It has a spacious solarium and some small cabins, with living room, bathroom and front porch, that can be hired for the day.

The facilities include the Spa & Kanebo Beauty Club. The centre of attraction is the temperature controlled freshwater pool, which receives natural light from some huge picture windows. The pool is fitted with pressure jets and a curtain waterfall.

The spa is complemented by the Jacuzzi, the Hammam, sauna, a Romano bath (with a cold water area and a hot water area), a shower with horizontal jets, a UVA tanning booth and massage rooms, as well as a gym with fitness machines.

The centre offers firming body treatments, detox treatments and moisturising treatments together with therapies that encourage blood circulation. They also have specialists in the prevention and treatment of sunburn. From the wide range of massages, there are some that use elixir of caviar, yogurt and fruit or olive oil.
