Gaudí’s inspiration. A paradise amongst vineyards and sea

Art and culture route, Wine tourism route
Discover Gaudí's most secret treasure in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, or the scent of rum in Sitges. Become a casteller (human tower) for the day or travel along the Garraf coast on a jet-ski. Enjoy all this along with a spot of Penedès wine and cava.

A model of the Sagrada Família
It's not just in Barcelona where Gaudí is part of the heritage. The Church of Colònia Güell, in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, plays host to the spectacular Gaudí Crypt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A church that the architect himself would describe as "a historical model of the Sagrada Família", as it was with this structure that he began to experiment with the innovations that would go on to adorn the famous church. Take a guided tour of Gaudí's laboratory and the largest modernist settlement in Catalonia.

The scent of rum in Sitges
Have you ever wondered why the Bacardi logo is a bat? You'll find out in Sitges, where the headquarters of the world-renowned rum brand are located. Discover their enthralling history at Casa Bacardí, where you'll also learn how to make Mojitos and Cuba Libres with professional cocktail makers. Later on, it's time you are overwhelmed, as you walk through the old fishing village you'll understand why so many artists set up camp here, leaving their mark on its streets and museums.

Jet-ski by the cliffs of Garraf.
If you're looking for a thrill, don't miss out on the jet-ski outings by the cliffs of the Garaff coast, organised by the Estació Nàutica de Vilanova i la Geltrú. Get high on full-speed adrenalin speeding through the waves against the backdrop of an incredible landscape; an activity open to anyone over 16 and groups of four to eight people.

Be a casteller for the day
Become part of one of Catalonia's most important traditions: the castellers (human towers), with their World Cultural Heritage status. With Cava Emotions you can get involved in the dynamism that is the Castellers de Vilafranca and see how they rehearse, or even become part of your own castle in an experience that also includes a glass of cava and a route through Vilafranca del Penedès.

Passionate about wine
Are you passionate about wine? Penedès is the place for you. First stop, the Torres wine cellars, one of the 12 wine cellars making up the Carretera del Vi; in a true wine tourism experience, we'll discover its family history and take full advantage of two of Mediterranean cuisine's finest products: wine and cheese. In Pacs del Penedès you'll encounter a combination to ensnare all your senses, in the company of a professional tour guide you'll sample four DO Penedès wines and some delectable local cheeses.
