Espot Esquí

Located in an area next to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, the Espot Esquí Ski Resort is the place for relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere, with no overcrowding and surrounded by extremely dense forests. It is the holder of the “Family Tourism Destination” stamp for tourist quality.

The Espot Esquí resort has 22 runs that cover a total area of 23.5 kilometres. Located next to the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, it has a peaceful atmosphere with no overcrowding and is surrounded by dense forests.

Thanks to its trails, one can ski with a drop of almost 1,000 metres. In fact, the highest point reaches 2,500 metres while the lowest sits at 1,500 metres. It is precisely at this point where most of the services are located, the most noteworthy being a "snow garden" teaching area for the little ones, in addition to restaurants, cafés, a medical service, nursery, solarium and equipment rental.

The runs accommodate all skill levels. One must go up to 2,000 metres to get to the beginners’ area. On the other hand, it has three runs that have been officially approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS) for holding international competitions.

In addition to Alpine skiing and snowboarding, other winter activities can be enjoyed at Espot Esquí, such as snowmobile excursions and dog sledging trails.

Since the 2008 season, Espot Esquí has shared the Gran Pallars area with the neighbouring Port Ainé resort. Thanks to this partnership, combined ski passes for both resorts can be purchased. The resulting total ski area covers almost 70 kilometres.
