Here, you will enjoy an astronomy session, observing a sky without light or atmospheric pollution. It’s perfect for gazing at the stars. Sitting comfortably in an armchair, you will first get to enjoy a session inside the astronomical observatory. Then, when night falls, you’ll go outside to enjoy the stars up close, in one of the best skies in Catalonia. The indoor session lasts 45 minutes and the outdoor session one hour. The activity is recommended for children from 8 years and above.In the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, halfway between Pirineus-Noguera Pallaresa and Valls d’Àneu, you can enjoy the spectacle of the starry sky from the astronomical viewpoints of the Espot ski resort and from the hermitage of Sant Quirc de Durro, in Vall de Boí. The Espot viewpoint is located in Cota 2000 m, close to the café area, and is all set up to install a telescope. At the Durro viewpoint, families can begin to look at the stars and interpret the night sky, thanks to the information panel at this Starlight observation point.Ready to fly to the moon at Muntanyes de Prades?At the Muntanyes de Prades Astronomical Park you can enjoy the Selene, a fast-paced journey to the moon family show. In the Hypatia room you will experience something very unique: a moon rescue! You’ll get to see and feel spectacular light and sound effects, as if you were right there! Afterwards, you will go to the Astronomical Observatory, where they will explain to you, in a way which is easy for little ones to understand, all about the constellations and mythology. You will also get to watch the dark sky and see the stars of Prades through the park’s large-diameter telescopes, while lying on reclining armchairs. You’ll have a 360º view of the sky that will blow your mind!Day and night visits to MontsecThe Astronomical Park in Terres de Lleida offers day and night family visits so that children can discover the world of astronomy in an educational way. The daytime visit includes a showing of Lucia. The secrets of shooting stars where your children will learn where these stars come from and why shooting stars occur, all in an easy-to-understand way. The film is shown in the Ull del Montsec, the park’s 3D digital multimedia planetarium, which has a mobile dome which is 12 metres in diameter.You will discover all the secrets of the polar skies on your night visit to the Astronomical Park. First, you will get to see the show Polaris in the planetarium, where you will uncover the mysteries of the solar system and the North Star. Afterwards, a guide will explain what happens in the night sky and they will open the dome so you can look up at the sky and identify the stars. Stars, nature and silence in the Alt Pirineu Natural ParkThe viewpoint of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park has signs to help you interpret the night sky and indications of where the North Star is. It also has a wooden platform where you can place a telescope. You also have the option of spending an astronomical-themed day with the Starlight guides who will instruct you on how to interpret the sky. During the summer, the Alt Pirineu Natural Park organises special events such as Nights at the Uninhabited Village, where you can look at the sky while a narrator explains the mythological legends attached to the sky.
