Located at the foot of the Collserola mountain, it is considered an atypical work by Gaudí due to its straight shapes, inspired by medieval castles and Gothic churches. The building was built by Gaudí between year 1900 and 1906, inspired by the medieval castle that was the refuge of the last Catalan king, Martí I l'Humà. He lived in Bellesguard until his death in 1410.During the guided tour of the tower you will learn about aspects of its history and its construction. The official name of the Tower is Casa Figueras, since it was Jaume Figueras, the architect's friend, who commissioned the work. But it is popularly known as Torre Bellesguard. The views it offers of all of Barcelona and of the sea are formidable and justify the name Bellesguard (beautiful view).Another particularity of this work of Gaudí is its covering of slate stone from the area. The green, grey and beige shades allow the creation of various patterns of light and make the building look different on sunny and rainy days.Next to the tower you can also visit the viaduct of the Bellesguard, an unknown work also by Gaudí, with 10 centuries-old arches, built between 1903 and 1905, before Park Güell was planned. In the evening, dinner awaits you at the Caelis Restaurant in Barcelona. This establishment offers avant-garde cuisine with traditional touches. It has a Michelin star and offers 3 types of tasting menu, one of which is vegetarian, which change every week. You can choose to eat in the room or at a U-shaped table located around the kitchen in view of the premises. At this table you can see up close how chef Romain Fornell prepares the different dishes. Dishes such as egg fritters and crème fraîche or sea and mountain pasta, with lobster and artichoke, which you can pair with the extensive range of more than 300 references from their cellar. p>Day 2: Formula 1 experience in Montmeló and lunch in a gastronomic hotel in Costa BarcelonaThe start of the second day of the route will be fast-paced. Here, 8-course tasting menus are prepared with fresh products and from Km 0. They also have a cellar located inside a natural cave. From its room with huge windows you can only see nature and the sky.
