The Catalan tourist sector, together with the Administration, has made a great effort to adapt to the special needs of tourists with reduced mobility or with some kind of intellectual or sensory disability. Turisme de Catalunya has published a guide showing areas with a better adapted and more accessibletourist provision. The nineteen areas highlighted are available to visitors on the web site and are listed below: Vall de Boí, Val d’Aran, Pallars Sobirà, La Seu d’Urgell, La Molina-La Cerdanya, Lleida, Camprodon, La Garrotxa, La Ruta Dalí, Costa Brava-Alt Empordà, Vic-Osona, Costa Brava-Baix Empordà, Barcelona, Montserrat, Maresme, La Ruta del Cister, Garraf-Sitges, Costa Daurada and Delta de l’Ebre. The destinations and amenities with accessibility arrangements are marked withicons for visitors who are hearing impaired, visually impaired, wheelchair users or who have reduced mobility.
