Els Balmins

To the north of the urban centre of Sitges, in front of the cemetery and before the Aiguadolç estate, this fine golden sand beach presents a virtuallt flat entry in the sea and numerous services.

Els Balmins beach is hardly 1 kilometre from the centre of Sitges. It is limited by and area of cliffs in front of the cement works and the western breakwater of Aiguadolç port.

Its width varies a lot from one year to another, depending on the amount of sand the winter storms take away. Its 220 metres of length are divided into two halves by rocks.

The sand is fine grain and you have to walk several metres into the water before it covers you. The area furthest from port is nudist.

It is equipped with showers and has a bar and a restaurant. In the port a few metres away, there is a large restaurant offer. It is quite a busy beach, although not as much as by the seafront.

The panoramic view of Sitges from here is particularly pretty. Especially outstanding is the rocky promontory known as Baluart, on which the characteristic church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla stands by the sea.
