El Cigró d'OrRestaurants/Recipes, Market cuisine, Traditional
Since 2012, Vilafranca del Penedes has been the new home of El Cigro d'Or, the restaurant that Oriol Llavina ran for ten years in Gelida. Llavina is still in charge, and the spirit is the same; restless, very lively and intense cuisine, just like him, and he plans to continue growing and cooking the produce from the land, promoting the wine tradition from his region.
After ten years in Gelida, in 2012 Oriol Llavina moved and took El Cigro d'Or to Villafranca del Penedes, where the large restaurant is now located, which has plenty of natural light and a show kitchen.
Llavina's restless soul is the backbone of a cuisine that is just like him, very lively and intense. They serve two menus during the week, and at the weekend there is a choice between a traditional menu designed that day, or a tasting menu with more complex dishes and more modern cuisine.
