A Gaudí undiscovered, his homage to Catalonia

Bellesguard Antoni Gaudí is a jewel of Catalan Modernism. A place to discover unspoilt and unique.

The Bellesguard tower was built by Antoni Gaudi between 1900 and 1909, the tower built with very straight angles was inspired in the medieval castle of Martin I the Humane, last king of the House of Barcelona, who lived in Bellesguard until his death in 1410. Gaudí built a castle mixing the modernist and gothic style and recovering the remains of the medieval palace which nowadays can be seen in the garden.

Bellesguard's history is closely linked to Catalonia's history. Many personalities and historical events happened on these grounds which influenced and inspired Gaudi to erect one of his most personal, symbolic and fascinating buildings-.

Declared of Cultural Interest on 24 July 1969, the Bellesguard Antoni Gaudí is a jewel of Catalan Modernism and one of his most unknown and unspoiled place a unique treasure to discover, no queues and no overcrowding.
