"Ball del Sant Crist" Dance
The "Sant Crist" dance portrays a legend dating back to Medieval times. This celebration, where theatre and dance mingle, was declared a traditional festival of National Tourist Interest in 1999.
The Dance of the Santo Cristo is a show that combines theatre and dance, and belongs to the genre of spoken dances which are so traditional in the region of Camp de Tarragona. The story tells how the merchant, Josep Nin, in the face of the hunger the people were suffering, set sail for Algiers in search of wheat.
