Manlleu's shopkeepers and associations organise a big Christmas fair with activities for all ages.
For the Christmas holidays, two ice rinks, one bigger and one for the younger members of the family, are set up in the centre of the town, alongside a twenty-metre-high giant slide which you slide down in inflatable doughnuts. The rinks can be booked for groups during school days.
In addition, next to the ice rinks there is a children's play area, a large air-conditioned tent where various recreational and cultural activities take place. The space also offers a Christmas Grotto and boasts a cafeteria and a creperie.
Badanadal's programme includes some of the usual offerings for this time of the year, such as the story of the little shepherds, “Els Pastorets”, concerts, exhibitions, shows and sporting activities, as well as the Royal Camp, in which children will be able to take part in various workshops and get to know Their Majesties the Kings of the East.
Another of the spaces offered is the Express, a pop-up shop within the Can Patalarga area, where products from the participating local shops are exhibited and sold. You can find all sorts on offer, from leisure, fashion and trends to tastings or gift items, among others.
Badanadal also coincides with the Manlleu Galeria d’Art, or MGA, which, with the aim of revitalising vacant commercial premises, has transformed eleven disused spaces into shop windows for contemporary art. It is a way of giving more visibility to closed spaces and, at the same time, bringing this art closer to the street.
