The small cove of Aiguafreda is very much frequented, especially by divers,as there is a diving centre almost at the foot of the beach and the seabed of the surroundings is particularly rich in fauna and flora.
It can be accessed by a winding road from the town of Begur. It is only thirty metres long and mainly consists of stones. The entry slope into the sea is hardly pronounced and the seabed is fairly rocky.
It is located in a natural lush environment and has showers, a surveillance post of the Red Cross, a beach bar on the beach, a car park, a restaurant, a fresh water fountain and a spacious picnic area under the pines, with stone tables and benches. On the left there is a pier for recreational boats.
A coastal footpath leads to the beach of Sa Tuna to the south, and to the Sa Sal Cape, to the north, and offers good views for this area of rugged coastline full of coves, small cliffs and pine trees. From the trail there are several entrances into the sea and bathing area, very nice for scuba diving enthusiasts.
