A Triassic experience for all the family in Muntanyes de Prades

Did you know that in the Prades Mountains there are fossils of jellyfish and an ancestor of a Jurassic flying reptile? Visit the Alcover Museum exhibition that will take you 240 million years back in time.

Did you know that in Muntanyes de Prades there are fossils of jellyfish and an ancestor of a flying reptile from the Jurassic period? The Alcover Museum's Triassic, "Explosion of life" exhibition invites you to take a 240-million-year journey through time with your family. 

This exhibition will take you back to the time when the Prades Mountains had not yet formed and in their place was the sea. During the activity you can join in with a workshop to make a replica of the largest fossil in the exhibition. Through the story The Stone Fish, children will get to know the museum's fossil fish collection and see what the marine fauna was like in the Triassic period. And there are many more surprises...!
