A day’s family outing in the Valls d'Àneu Valleys

There are several proposals for the afternoon: excursions on horseback, cycle tours or rowing a canoe in the reservoir of La Torrassa.

A complement to these activities is the rich cultural heritage, Romanesque churches and bridges, a visit to Casa Gassia, which houses the Eco-Museum of the Valls d'Àneu situated in Esterri d'Àneu, where you will travel back in time and see how they lived in the early 20th century, the House of the Brown Bear in the village of Isil, where you can learn about this animal's behaviour through interactive panels, the Interpretation Centre of the Closed Towns in Escaló, where you can take a guided tour of this medieval village.

Winter reveals an incredible landscape, with the highest parts covered in snow. The ski resort of Espot Esquí, on the edge of the National Park, boasts pistes and facilities adapted to all levels and ages. You can also explore the secluded parts of the Valls d'Àneu on snowshoes, accompanied by a qualified guide, or simply enjoy the snow on sleds and build a snowman!

To restore your energy, you can enjoy the good local cuisine and choose from a varied offering of certified restaurants!

Do not miss a visit to the Esbaiola't Festival in Esterri d'Àneu, a theatre festival for all audiences, which is held annually on the 4th weekend of July.
