Day 1
In search of Romanesque Catalonia
If you feel like discovering the landscapes of Bages, Osona and Ripollès, the Camí Oliba is a 228 km route from Montserrat abbey to les Basses de Puigsec, France. A route guided by Romanesque art and the life of Abbot Oliba. Pick a stage and get walking!
Adventure of all kinds in the Collsacabra and Sau Valley
By horse, mountain bike, 4x4, balloon, quad, etc. Take your pick and enjoy the Vall de Sau Collsacabra, a piece of nature including the mountains of the Guilleries Massif, Collsacabra, and the Sau Reservoir. You'll be guided all the way by Consorci per a la Promoció Turística de la Vall de Sau Collsacabra, a local tourism office.
Carrilet Greenway
You'll cycle through the valleys of the rivers Fluvià, Brugent and Ter, and there won't be a car in sight! The 57 km 'Greenway' joins Olot and Girona through an old rail road. Take on the bridges and tunnels with your pedals!
Day 2
Volcanic rambling
The Santa Margarida, Croscat, Roca Negra volcanoes... The volcano route is ideal for a spot of rambling and getting to know the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa. But if you'd prefer, see it all from a balloon in the company of Vol de Coloms. Many other places, such as Olot's historic oak tree forest, can be visited in the company of Guies Roc Blanc. Don't forget your camera!
Banyoles by land and sea
The Lake of Banyoles has something for everyone. Like a bit of swimming? At the 'Via Brava', 500 metres of open water, take a dip in a safe and secure environment. Or with Caiac i Natura, you can also see it all by kayak or bike. You won't miss a thing!
Day 3
Bandit country
The objective of Anigami's geocaching circuit, in Santa Maria de Corcó, is finding the book of Serrallonga. As a legendary bandit who roamed these lands in the 17th century, he gained sympathy from the locals by raiding the carriages of tax collectors. It'll take investigation, sense of direction and team work. Have you got the nerve?
Deer rutting season
If you're visiting in autumn, don't miss out on one of nature's spectacles: the rut. The Coll de Merolla shelter, near Gombrèn, organises trips to see the deer at this time of year.
