Spicatum is the name of one of the two apartments in the former outhouses of the Vilanova d'Isanta manor house. The accommodation is named for one of its exterior walls, dating back to the 10th century, built in opus spicatum, i.e. in the shape of a herringbone. The apartment has two bedrooms with private bathrooms and is noted for its spaciousness. The appliances and furnishings are modern, but the spaces, with beamed wooden ceilings retain its rustic air. There is a spacious dining room, which is both a living room with kitchen area which features a large fireplace.
The house is located a thousand metres above sea level on a farm north of El Solsonès. It is a very calm and quiet place ideal for spending a few days away from the hustle of the city. The house is located at the foot of the Port del Comte massif and only fifteen minutes from Solsona.
