The RENFE railway company operates numerous trains linking Catalan stations with destinations in the rest of Spain. The AVE high-speed rail link runs to Zaragoza, Madrid and Seville. The conventional train network also offers a wide range of prices and destinations to choose from.
The area around Barcelona is served by the RENFE network of suburban trains that operate frequently on five main lines. The "Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat" (FGC) company also operates various local services around Barcelona and Lleida.
