Since 1473, the ceramist line of the Marcós in the municipality of Quart, in Girona, has been documented in the files of the Crown of Aragon and in the Confraria dels Ollers de Quart. The company has a considerable art collection with works by renowned artists of the like of Gustau Violet, Fidel Aguilar, Jordi Dalmau, Domènec Fita and that attributed to Arístides Maillol. It also has reproductions of originals from the Louvre in Paris, from the ruins of Empúries, of freizes and capitels of the Cathedral of Girona and the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages, amongst other places. It receives collaboration from modern artists and sculptors. In 2004, it was awarded Producte Artesà Qualificat (PAQ) by the Generalitat de Cataluya government. The work is made in clay with different finishes, and all of the pieces are reproductions of the original using plaster moulds.
