Description

Mussels are a good starter, easy to prepare, as well as economical and tasty. They can be served with different sauces and eaten cold, when they are even more delicious. Mayonnaise, romesco sauce, xató, almond sauce, tomato sauce and allioli (garlic mayonnaise) are the most typical accompaniments.

Ingredients for 4 people
1.5 kg mussels
Preparation
Clean the mussels well. Place in a pan, add some water and heat, covered, until they open. Once they have opened (7-8 minutes), remove from the heat, drain, and separate the shells, discarding the empty one, together with any “beards”. Eat while hot.
